School project where, in teams of 6, we had to stick to a given graphical identity (Big Hero 6). It was centered around the chinese Empress Wu Zetian.
Each of the members of the team could choose one character amongst 7 predefined roles. I choose the Empress herself, thinking it would be an interesting challenge to draw someone regal and older than the average main characters.
In addition, we were to create a taotie, a chinese monster. Mine was themed around dragons and phoenixes.
